Welcome to Gossensass and the Pflersch Valley in
summer
Great that you have come to visit us just south of
the Brenner Pass. Although you’re only seeing us on the
internet now, we hope to welcome you in person soon !!
In this region, you will find both the German and
Italian influences. It’s South Tyrol – literally. The
Sterzing holiday region and its surrounding area is a
world of contrasts, a land full of variety in which
opposites sit side by side. This is what we want to
present to you and hope you will enjoy it!
Gossensass is the most northerly holiday region in
Italy. The town is located just 10 km behind the Brenner
Pass, has about 2,000 inhabitants and is situated at an
altitude of 1,098 metres above sea level.
Here on the southern side of the Alps, the frontier
between the North and the South overlaps as both
characteristics are at home in this area: the atmosphere
of the mountains and the Mediterranean temperament. We
are in Italy, but we are also still a part of Tyrol.
